Squamous Cells

Squamous cells are flat, scaly cells. Squamous cells are found:

  • In the top layers of the skin.
  • In the tissue that covers the inside of many organs (such as the bladder).
  • In the tissue that lines the passageways of the digestive system and the respiratory system.
